NANANANANANANANANother LEGO Batmobile!

Yes, in the line-up of nostalgic LEGO cars from the Batman era, we get ourselves a new UCS styled Batman vehicle for the era of Adam West! Driving in at $250 AUD, how does this vehicle of the past hold up in modern times? Read on!76328 LEGO® DC Batman™- The Classic TV Series Batmobile™ September 2024

Around the Batmobile

Outside of our LEGO Batmobile we actually have a lot to look at. Where older models are normally all black with layered or hidden detail, the clean design of the vehicle accentuates the details nicely.

We get some new windows exclusively for this set, as well as some nice subtle shaping across the model too.

Sadly, this set doesn’t have a front hood that opens, and it is otherwise left empty. On the flip side, opening the trunk of the car reveals a nice surprise of the Bat-computer that moves out. However, this also reveals gaps in the floor too. A minor criticism but I’m not phased by it.

The Bat-Accessories

Bat Ray! Gas! Nail Spreader! BatScanner! Bat Ram! Detect-a-Scope! Start Button! Wait.

There are so many little gags to the show references here with a slew of stickers. All of the gadgets aren’t functional I’m afraid, giving you a vehicle authentic to the show’s set! Ha!

Inside the Batmobile

The inside of the Batmobile is filled with loving details, such as the seat details with ribbing on them, or the slew of details on the dash. I do need to note the onslaught of stickers here though. I’m not usually apposed to stickers, but with elements like the fire hydrant – stickers on curves are a bane of my existence. (Get it?)

The Finer Details & Shape

One thing that I do love about the model is the shape. The red lining around the set highlights the details put into the curvature and sharpness of the vehicle. I also love the hood ornament and details on the wheels too!

Batman Minifigure & Name Plate

Our Batman in this set isn’t insanely new. Adam West has had a LEGO debut before, but this time around he has a new dark blue cape element. He stands atop a gargoyle, reminiscent of the polybag with his successor. Name plate is also the same as most UCS sets in the range, but I’m surprised at how slow this vehicle goes compared to today’s standards.

Verdict

Classic Batman fans are going to easily love this set. Although I’m not a huge Batman person, this is one of my favourite vehicles from across the range.

There is a lot more colour, character and detail in these older models that I do really enjoy. And I have to recommend this if you’re thinking about it.
