LEGO Friends and Vintage Vans

LEGO Friends continues for another year, and we’ve been slated with the whole first wave of 2025. Taking a look into the LEGO Friends Friendship Camper Van Adventure, how does Friends hold up for 2025’s first wave?

The Van

A classic camper van with vintage colours being mixed with LEGO Friends was not on my bingo card for 2025. The Friendship Camper Van Adventure is probably one of my favourite sets of the new wave because of how fleshed out this small set is.

To begin with, the van contains a kitchen, interior décor, functional toilet, sink, three beds, picnic table, trunk, bicycle and shower. When closed up, the van carries the picnic table on the top of the model, and allows easy unpacking for picnics on the go. The beds hug the ceiling, and unfold into beds that watch the stars. The toilet uses the DOTS wall brackets for a toilet bowl, allowing waste to drop below. A below of the car, mind you, that can open up and be cleaned like a real camper van.

But fun functional things aside, we also get a nice aesthetically pleasing van. I love the stack of dishes on the front used for the grille of the car. We are also treated to a new ferret mould and small outdoorsy build for them to scamper to.

Verdict

Overall, this set is a solid model. There is so much compacted into a small space but in a way that doesn’t feel encroaching. The price tag feels a bit high, but when you realise how many parts are used, recoloured and compacted into the model, it feels a lot more understandable. I really do hope we get something like this in LEGO City too soon.
