Season 7 Episode 10 – The ‘Harry Potter’ Challenge
Another first for LEGO Masters! It’s the LEGO Masters Australia Grand Masters of the Galaxy ‘Harry Potter’ Challenge, in Season 7 Episode 10, the second last episode of the season.
Each team will be building a mystical hallway, that leads to a secret door, and then will reveal something magical!
Teams will build off two base plates. The first one is a long hallway, where they must build a door with a mechanism, showing technical ability. The second will be the reveal of a monster.
At the end of the build, it will be put within the giant Hogwarts Castle, with a camera sent down the hallway. It’s on the teams to activate their door at the right time!
Team are also assigned Harry Potter houses to build in theme with, provided to them by the sorting hat.
Henry & Cade – Australia
Gryffindor – Griffin saves the day
There is a Hufflepuff student with his leg injured. He has tripped over in the Forrest with Dementors coming to get him. The Gryffindor behind the doors is there to save the day.

In this story, the troll has broken into the library looking for something to eat. The hallway show a path of destruction leading up to the doors at the end of the hallway.
Dai & Jiayuan – China
Hufflepuff – Dragon in the Common Room
In their story, there is a fire in the room. Dumbledore uses magic to open the door, inside is their Dragon.
Vidar & Albin – Sweden
Slytherin – Slytherin and the Skeleton
The most technical build, with 3 mechanisms. Their story, Slytherin students have been sneaking into an abandoned part of Hogwarts. Through the door, a giant Skeleton rises.
Challenge Winners
It’s time to see who is in the finals! The first team to be put through to the LEGO Masters Australia Grand Masters of the Galaxy finale, is Vidar & Albin from Sweden.
The next through to the finale, is Trent & Alex from Australia. This is the third time Alex has made it to a finale on LEGO Masters.
And finally, the last team to make the finale is Henry & Cade, the very first winners of LEGO Masters Australia.
Sadly, after 10 builds, Dai & Jiayuan from China.
Also, let me just provide a little bit of context to the photo below! It’s a super sweet story! At the end of the build as the build finished. Hamish told Cade that his wife has just gone into labor with his third child. In a beautiful moment between ‘team Dad’, Henry and Cade shares a wonderful moment, before Cade ran out of the studio to be with his wife. Which meant he missed the judging. Luckily, he’ll be back for the finale!
