Season 7 Episode 5 – The ‘What Lurks Beneath’ Challenge

This week on LEGO Masters Australia – Grand Masters of the Galaxy, episode 5 we have the ‘What Lurks Beneath’ challenge.

It will be a challenge full of imagination, that needs strong story telling.

At the bottom of the build is a glass tank that will be filled with water. On top, the world above the water. Both worlds must link.

Builds will be themed around an historical era. The build the team gets will be decided at random by drawing a LEGO Minifigure out of the box.

David & G – Australia

Cowboy

The guys once again lean into mining. They have a creature under the water using a periscope to see what is happening above. Above the water, a mining / wild west village.

Gabby & Owen – Australia

Aztec

They have built an Aztec temple, framed by two large trees. The Aztec warriors have caught an explorer that was stealing treasures, who they are sending off the steps of the temple, into the jaws of the giant Crocker fish below. Going to new lengths, they have put a motor in the temple that will move the Crocker fish under the water.

Henry & Cade – Australia

Viking

A simple but powerful build. A viking sits above the water fishing. His pose and outfit displaying that he is cold. Under the water, a giant serpent that is lurking around the hook.

Trent & Alex – Australia

Spartan

A Spartan meets hydra battle. The monster has three heads, two of which are coming out of the water with the Spartans battling against it.

Nick & Stacey – Canada

Roman

In their build, it’s a dark and stormy day at the Roman civilisation. There is a Roman solider ready to attack the monster below. The monster is made up of all the lost souls of those that the Roman Empire has conquered.

Dai & Jiayuan – China

Egyptian

With a giant dark blue cat monster under the water, which is chained down but has successfully floated up (as per their plan). With a temple above.

Oskari & Aura – Finland

Knight

In their story, the king is collecting taxes. What he doesn’t know, is there is a skelton monster that lurks from below. The monster under the water wants to take the gold, that’s being delivered to the king.

Emily & Sarah – New Zealand

Pirate

What’s a pirate and water build without a crackin. The build is mid-attack, a crackin is coming out of the water, attacking the pirate ship. With mermaids under the water trying to help.
