LEGO Icons reveal Transformers Soundwave in August
In the new annual tradition, LEGO Icons Transformers Soundwave has been announced for release in August 2025. Back in June 2022, we saw the first LEGO Transformers set hit the shelves, the LEGO Creator Expert Optimus Prime. Then in July 2024, the LEGO Icons Transformers Bumblebee. Honestly, I thought that might have been it. But LEGO are continuing with today’s announcement of this new set!
Transformers Soundwave Features
Pressing Soundwave’s play button activates specially recorded voice and sound effects. The figure comes with rocket pod, laser blaster and dart accessories, features posable joints and seamlessly converts to cassette player mode and back without disassembly.
The Ravage and Laserbeak figures convert into model cassette tapes that fit individually into Soundwave’s cassette bay. The set also includes a display plaque with Soundwave’s power statistics.
Release Information
LEGO Icons Transformers Soundwave is coming on the 1st of August 2025 at LEGO.com. The price is AUD$20 above that of Optimus Prime who release 3-years ago, with a comparable piece count. But Soundwave does come with a soundbox, which would bump it up a little.
