Starting a LEGO Fortnite Adventure? Start right here at camp!
Just like starting a new adventure off in LEGO Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite Peely & Sparkplug’s Camp is the perfect start for newer builds to both theme and LEGO. With a campsite inclusive of crafting, campfires and danger, what does this little set hold out for us? Read on!
The Camp
For any good campsite, we need the essentials. Within LEGO Fortnite however, this means a Campfire and a Crafting Bench! With both of these models being represented by smaller versions of the official in-game versions, we get a bit to play with. With a small bandsaw table almost straight out of a dedicated LEGO City set and also a small shelter – the journey begins!
Although nothing really stands out here as overwhelmingly significant (but the Bench is great!), being able to place a your choice of figures around this small diorama is nice touch.
Minifigures and Characters
As far as fun with characters go, we get ourselves a Loot Llama, a Wolf, Sparkplug, Peely and a Skeleton.
The Loot Llama in this set is almost 100% identical to the polybag previous released – but a nice easy way to get it for those who missed out. The difference is very subtle – being the colour for its head. and the eye piece.
As for our wolf, they are also a similar translation from the game – but a cleaner design for sake of newer builders. The tail gives us a new recolour as well!
As for our figures, we get a clean Peely figure for the first time – a welcome addition to the lineup for Peely fans. Sparkplug has a fantastic translation as well, but also with a digital download for the outfit online too.
Verdict
For an introductory set to the LEGO Fortnite theme, fans are spoiled here. There’s a lot to like without forking out a lot of money.
Even for dedicated Fortnite fans, this is a set that I can see all picking up – despite it being one of the cheapest and less-display-like of the wave. The value is fantastic, and the play limitless!
