Bust out your suits and thwip into action!

LEGO Marvel Iron Spider-Man Bust is one of many in the line-up of Marvel Display busts. But where we have had Spider-Man masks and Iron Man models, this one looks perhaps one of the cleanest models yet. So how does this hold up? Read on!

LEGO Marvel Iron Spider-Man Bust

Our LEGO Marvel Iron Spider-Man Bust is sure to make an immediate pop – with the most colours of any bust being made thus far. We get our reds, blues and golds across the set, but also new printed elements too. His face mask, brow and eye pieces are new prints for this model.

One of the things I really like about this model is how well the shoulders look – rounded out, not blocky. They feel really well shaped if even if they might be a *tiny* bit too broad. I can’t complain – this is one of the best we have gotten so far.

The one thing that does annoy me is the eyes – the designer has done an incredibly job getting Spider-Man’s facial detail to such a small scale. But in making the gaps for the eyes, we can sometimes end up with goofy faces. The space created for the eyes does well to ‘shadow’ the frame around Spidey’s eyes, but there is still a little movement.

It’s admittedly my only real criticism of the model – but it’s a tiny one. Heck – it’s user error really. Build the model as it instructs you to and you should be fine – just don’t knock them around.

Display base options

The mdoel also curiously comes with the option for two display base options – a diagonal and straight-on option. This gives versatility to your display options, but also allows the model to match previously released Marvel display models too. Neat.

Iron Spider-Man Minifigure

As deceptive as it may be – this minifigure is actually exclusive!

Yes, this figure, which is almost the same as the one in the Endgame Final Battle set, has exclusive arm printing.

Compared to the figure back in 2018, this is an upgrade on torso and face printing, but falls behind in the leg printing area – there is none! For people with both versions of the character, this is an easy fix. But it does feel strange receiving a figure with exclusive arm printing and no leg printing.

Verdict

Overall, this is a really well put together Spider-Man bust.

There are very few shortcomings with the set, but I genuinely enjoyed the build experience the set gave. The price point is also matching a lot of other Marvel Display busts. Comparing this model to the large Spider-Man Masks, I would even argue this is higher quality by far. Recommend.
