42210 LEGO Technic 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car June 2025

Around the Outside

The exterior of the LEGO Technic 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car is an overlapping interlude of various technic elements at play. All of which in an effort to convey the GTR’s shape and body. Although my initial suspect of the model was that is appeared a little too box-like – the GTR is exactly that!

With a gear atop the rear of the canopy, builders can twist and turn the wheels however they see fit to drive the car along. We are also graced with a an extra play function to lift the model off its hind wheels for display.

As expected, there is quite the motherlode of stickers across the model. I take my time to apply stickers onto the pieces before I attach the to the model, however I recommend to do the opposite. The shape and contours of the parts make it hard to line up the decals in a perfect manner.

You’ll be happy however to hear that the T4U 842 number plate is pulled straight from the film!

For those curious about new parts – LEGO Technic isn’t admittedly my strongest suit in catalogue. However, I did spy the use of the saucer elements in trans red here, which is new to me.

On the Inside

Like all LEGO Technic cars of this calibre, interior details are an absolute must.

With driving wheels connected to gears, internal engines and passenger side NOS canisters for that extra speed – this is a special recreation of set with proper attention to detail. I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect the addition of the NO2 canisters in this model. But I am so glad that they are here.

Verdict

This is a car model that exists with a lot of heft – the model use of all 1410 pieces and mean business. There is only 16 parts that I would consider ‘large’ – the rest being smaller parts refined for accuracy.

My best friend personally loves this car, and has every intention on collecting it on day one without hesitation. And I am absolutely sure there are others that would do the same. And I won’t stop you.
