Ba-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-Bat-Tank!
LEGO have graced us in the early parts of 2026 with a slew of Batman sets – lining up with the 20 year anniversary of Batman sets. Each set comes with its own representation of a period in Batman’s media history, and thus we have a few to go through. So how does the LEGO DC Batman: Batman v Superman Batmobile hold up? Read on!
Batman v Superman Batmobile
Undeniably one of the most complex vehicles that LEGO have had to convert to bricks, this model is a designer’s worst nightmare at times. LEGO have made this model once before, but actually made it a black vehicle instead of the now dark grey. It’s a hard choice to pick between which of the two is better by colour, but by design there is a clear winner.
The first iteration of the model is a sign of the times of release, and walked so this new version could run. With protected wheels, sleeker model, more stockier tank-like design, this one has learnt from its predecessor.
This version is also made with more generic pieces, with no super specific moulds like the previous version. I wholeheartedly believe that this is a great evolution and I believe fans will too.
My only nit-pick here would be the exposed studs on the side may be a little distracting – but I have no solutions for it at this time.
Minifigure
Our LEGO Batman Minifigure for this set is of course, our ‘Bat-fleck’. Undeniably representing the armoured suit that Batman wears during his confrontation with Superman, Batman here is new and updated. As much as I love the printings across the figure, LEGO have always managed to have trouble accurately representing this ‘armoured’ version.
Is this version bad? Heavens no! This is the best version we have.
My issue is more of a nit-pick with seeing the colour of the LEGO Batman minfigures neckline. He doesn’t feel covered completely – not whole. Changing the head to one of the heads that have face printing on a solid colour would alleviate this. Furthermore, older Batman head moulds (not the LEGO Batman movie ones) would also be great here. The current new mould for the Batman head just doesn’t work for this version. Long time fans will be able to probably do this on their own however.
Verdict
Overall I love the vehicle design here, and think that it is a model that feels worth the effort put behind it.
I don’t think for a moment Batman fans will be disappointed, and wholeheartedly think this is worth picking up when you can.
Also as a reminder that this model can be unlocked in the LEGO Batman game coming out this year alongside this purchase!
