Review: LEGO Disney Moana 2 Heihei (43272)

Everyone’s favourite screaming chicken, from flick chicken to brick chicken!

Disney and LEGO have once again doted upon us with another character display with the LEGO Disney Moana 2 Heihei! Fresh on the heels of Disney’s release of Moana 2, the LEGO HeiHei set seems perfect for fans of the franchise. So let’s take a closer look and see how it holds up!

Heihei

The new LEGO Disney Moana 2 Heihei stands 27cm tall on his custom pedestal, themed around Motunui’s culture. It’s got vibrant coloured flowers and plant life, it’s a fine display piece for this chicken.

Taking Heihei away from the stand gives us a still-freestanding build. Devoid of movements in the leg and neck, we are able to rotate the head, wings and tail feathers.

The build is made up of a multitude of vibrant colours, with five colours making up his neck alone! The body beautifully sprawls into blues teals and then into the familiar green we know. Quite literally a rainbow build, with almost every colour present in Heihei alone barring purples and pinks.

Heihei’s face is unmistakably timid, like the film, with frilled up head details standing on end, and the dangly bits underneath the beak beautifully captured.

Verdict

Overall, this build is probably one of my favourite character builds done by the Disney team. The buildable LEGO Disney Young Simba was a set that I thoroughly enjoyed barring one obvious detail on the neck, but Heihei doesn’t have that. His build isn’t over impeding into a space, it’s a perfect desk ornament, and it’s executed to perfection. Top tier!
