Dreaming up creatures, 20 to 1!
LEGO DREAMZzz for this year gives us another wave of new enemies, new sets and new part moulds! Now into its third wave of enemies, we are greeted with the newest force on the block – brain suckers! LEGO DREAMZzz Bunchu’s Creative Animal Adventures is one of Izzie’s answers to the fight – how does it hold up?
The Bricks
Much like creator brick boxes with lots of small builds, LEGO DREAMZzz gives us a 20 in 1 cheap alternative! Focusing on a variety of animals, from giraffes, elephants, birds and seals, this is a whole zoo!
The largest build of the box, the Bunny, is weirdly enough one of the worst animals this set has to offer. Not for sake of design, mind you, but because all the other creatures pair so well together. This set gives us some really creative creature designs all around the same size. The consistency of the smaller models makes me almost want to collect them all – but alas, you can’t do that with the whole set.
My personal favourite creatures from the list are the Giraffe (no. 1), the Reindeer and the Squirrel. Honest – these builds are amazing.
Minfigures
LEGO DREAMZzz Izzie is our only figure in this set – given to us with a lot more of a casual getup. Normally she has armour and wields weapons, but here we get her in a lovely jacket with the ever adorable plushie!
Verdict
For the price of such a small set, this LEGO DREAMZzz set is great value for money. The smaller builds are by far the highlight for me, and it feels weird to say that I almost think it should have been marketed that way. A cute little pack of brick built animals? Easy win for me.
