Drivers! Start your engines and put on your helmets!
The LEGO F1 collaborative seems to continue into 2026! After a successful year of a number of LEGO F1 products, the LEGO group have shifted from a Speed Champions/City to now a specialised theme – LEGO Editions. From Football to Racing, the theme dedicates itself to market products based in reality rather than the LEGO theming we are used to. So with new 2026 Ferrari Representation, how does these models hold up? Read on!
The Helmets
The Helmets for these sets can not be understated by how intricately complex they are to build. The design require multiple types of curvatures on various angles to pull off the overall effect. It should be noted that I am saying this from a technique perspective – building the model was enjoyable. I have high levels of admiration for those at LEGO who managed to get this shape to work.
Each of the helmets debuted a few new elements as well – the large curved visor and the curved element below it. There are so many different variations of slopes and curves in this set that you could almost lay out all the parts of the sets and every curved element was different. I personally like this – it showcases the amount of care and design that went into pulling off these shapes.
The helmets are also NOT covered to death in stickers and prints. There are some basic stickers to put in place on where the larger panels are, and they were certainly a feat to line up. I am grateful that LEGO saw the challenge in the curved elements and did the hard work for us there.
The models also come on small stands for display, as well as Ferrari’s major collaboration with HP. Each model also comes with the driver’s signatures as a printed tile.
Minifigures
Both of the LEGO minifigures in this set are entirely custom, following in the same footsteps of the other F1 adult sets made by LEGO.
Despite them both having the same outfit on the front, they do both have their own names on the back. Both of these characters have extremely high levels of detail. I also love that we get rarer hair moulds used here.
Verdict
These two models are models intended for display – and oh boy do they hold up. For F1 fans (or even LEGO fans who just have extra cash to burn) – this set is a positive building experience that I haven’t seen before. The overall model is what it is on the box – but I am thoroughly impressed with how it went together.
They are a luxury item, so the price point needs to be acknowledged. But seeing the complexity made it make sense to me. I’m not an F1 fan, but I did enjoy making these. To a new LEGO builder, this is full of complexity, but I can’t deny that they look great.
