LEGO ICONS Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell 10353 Review New Release Review Brick Banter - March 2025

Another LEGO Technic Racing Car to add to your garage!

With such a huge focus on Formula 1 this year, LEGO are hitting all the stops on trying to bring this theme to the forefront. This time around, we get ourselves an LEGO Technic Oracle Red Bull RB20 F1 Car on the line up. How does it hold up?

42206 - LEGO® Technic™ Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car - March 2025

The Technic Technicals

Just like other LEGO Technical Supercars, we are equipped with a functional geared engines, cylinders and suspension springs for the inner workings. It’s a lot to put together and a lot of it isn’t seen in the final model, but darn is it satisfying.

Playability

Just like the LEGO Technic Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car released in this wave. The steering for the model is controlled by the gear above the driver’s seat. This allows you to not have to put your hand inside the model to turn it for ease of play. We also get to have a removeable decaled engine to peek inside, as well as rear spoiler for playability control/braking.

Around the LEGO Technic Oracle Red Bull Race Car

The LEGO Technic Red Bull car itself uses a lot of LEGO Technic elements that I have never seen in dark blue before. There’s lots of shaping, wild curves and plenty of printing around to see. The front decals are also some of the brightest across the whole model, and the tires really pop.

The tires to this set are also exclusive to the set, but really bring the Red Bull colour palette to life.

Verdict

I personally struggle a bit with LEGO Technic, with more so bodes as a warning for folks looking to make this their first LEGO Technic set. This is a beautifully shaped and accurate set, but darn do I feel like Sisyphus with a boulder at times.

If you’re into LEGO Technic cars, F1 or being a big collector for 2025 – buckle in. I do recommend the set for the right audience, but choose wisely.

If you’re not a Technic person and more of an F1 fan, there’s a lot of other options for your to choose for this year that you’d be just as happy with.
